When East Meets West

​

As the featured product of Japadog, a fusion food on the west coast, Umai Hotdog integrates Asian design styles into its hotdog chain stores. The big basket pendant lights become a symbolic icon in the stores, and their bamboo-woven appearance adds an Eastern element.

On the wall, a black-and-white scene of a street crossing in Shibuya, Tokyo, shows a busy city life, presenting a bold and simple fashion. The counter panels consist of white oak, adding a natural and warm ambience. A mixture of interior design styles with harmony and coherence perfectly annotates the Scandinavian industrial design style.
